Comments on: Vista price cuts show how much trouble Microsoft is in

Although Don Reisinger applauds the company for dropping the price of retail versions of Vista, he thinks it's nothing more than a ruse to hide the real issues with the OS.

I agree with most people here at how stupid and ignorant this article is..

I was also scared by such articles when i was deciding on weather to get XP or Vista on my new laptop.. I finally decided lets give vista a try and guess what? It rocks!!!

I have not gotten a crash yet. Ofcourse the OS is slower then XP but you have to be dumb not the realize that.. why shouldn't an OS make more use of the advance PC's that are comming out today and give us a better visual appearance? You want Performance maybe you should stick to Dos or something.

All i gotta say is Vista has been amazing for me, very user friendly. I completely love the new GUI.

I need help. I had the worst experience with Microsoft and they are unwilling to do anything at all to correct their error. I was having a problem with XP updates. I could download them, but couldn't install. I called Microsoft and ended up speaking with 4 different technicians. Their accents were so thick that it was really hard understanding them at times. They are based in the Philippines. To make a long story short (I was on the phone with them for 3 days) one of the last things Mohammad (the tech) said to me before my computer crashed was---put your installation disc in your CD drive! I really don't remember what he said next because I was in shock! He crashed my computer! I've spoken with Microsoft and even received an email from someone named NicK Reynolds. The email ask me to get a hold of him and we would talk about some type of reimbursement. After we talked he called me back and said Microsoft refuses to do anything to help me. We own a construction company in Pennsylvania. It is going to cost us between $2700. and $3400. to retrieve our data. Any suggestions?
