Yahoo! does have some stuff geared towards the iPhone... http://mobile.yahoo.com/iphone so they definitely DO know there is an iPhone. How well the stuff works I have no idea, since I don't have an iPhone.

Tried accessing Yahoo mail from my iphone, it took me to mobile specific version (m.yahoo.com/mail). But when I tried to access the url that I get in my pc-based version, and believe it or not, it worked like a charm and lightning fast (mc318.mail.yahoo.com/mc/welcome).
Yahoo shall give the normal pc experience to iphone users, their mail looks awesome.

I've used both extensively. No big difference. They both get the job done. If I want a nice browsing experience spending hours searching I go to a pc.
