although other phones have had multi-tasking for years {eg-: Symbian ,Windows Mobile}
the Pre delivers it in a much more powerful way {plus for the first time on a Multi-touch Device}
along with the awesome unified notifications
I can see how managing many many apps at once will be a desktop like experience !
and then there's Universal search {Almost feels like spotlight}
Although I'm a fan of the iPhone and Apple in general
I have to give props to the Palm they have out done Apple this time
even though the App store gives Apple a slight edge for now
once Palm app store reaches a critical mass of apps it wont be a problem either
Eitherway this will definitely push Apple to improve, More competition the better !

Showing 2 of 2 pages (57 Comments)All the old PalmOS apps work on the Pre so there are many thousands of apps
Most apps will work except for the basic Pim functions which in a way, are better on the Treo 755 than they are currently on the Pre. Also, in order to ue apps from the Palm OS, you have to pay $30.00 for the app tothat emulates the Palm OS. They say it's "Free" now like the 20 or so apps in the Palm Store, but it's actually only a 7 day trial. This is one app Palm should have included for a retailed $549.00 /PDA! The inability to copy and past text from a Webpage, etc is a deal-breaker for me since I can easily do that on my 755 now. Also, apparently "Universal Search" does not work on the Calendar or Notes or Tasks. I have been through way-too-many Treo's in the past years to trust that palm will quickly fix these issues (and give everyone a Real, Battery that lasts!) in a timely fashion. Considering it's gona cos me more too, i think I'll wait. Who knows, a cool Android phone may come to Sprint soon too.
