The world may have thrilled to the potential for a Google Phone, but what Google actually unveiled is its plan for a new smartphone world order.

i always wanted to point this out, but somehow thought, oh no its just me, like no one else noticed. But like theyre really the same!:P
But which one is Clark Kent and which is has the S on the chest? Being an ubuntu user i would say Mark wears his underwear on top:P
Do you always call up CEOs to warn them of their competitor's impending announcements? Or is your relationship with Shuttleworth noticeably friendlier than your relationship with other CEOs whose businesses you attempt to cover? Did you perhaps make a similar effort to contact the CEOs of Xandros and Linpus and give them a heads about about Google's plans to announce? What other sort of information do you preferentially attempt to leak to Shuttleworth ahead of everyone else knowing?
Or was that opening sentence just a setup for the Federer joke? Difficult to know as you've shown a significant bias towards Canonical in the past without equitable mention of Xandros or Linpus, who have most likely out sold Canonical in terms of pre-installed netbook operating systems to date. They are as likely to be impacted by Google's operating system moves as is Canonical..and yet you give them no mention.

As for Xandros and Linpus (very unfortunate name), I apologize that I haven't paid attention to them in nearly five years (in the case of Xandros - I'd never heard before of Linpus). I don't think you want me focusing on companies or projects that I think are in a distant fifth place. (Don't want to be rude, but it's the truth.)
Acer and Asus CRUSH all the other OEMs put together...and you think the linux operating systems those OEMs have chosen as a fifth place finishers? How exactly do you come to that conclusion? Other than the sweet nothings Shuttleworth and other Canonical execs are whispering into your ears in private communications.
Are you prepared to show me that Ubuntu pre-installs are out-selling Linpus or Xandros? If you are do it. Show me the numbers, the solid numbers. Start being objective and curtail your personal bias in favor of Canonical.

The gist of the write-up is that Mark Shuttlesworth looks a bit like Roger Federer, not of who's in first, second or 57th place in market share. If anyone from Xandros or Linpus looks like Federer too, feel free to come back here and make that comparison as well. Until then, I'm sure you have more worthwhile things to do.
