Thanks for posting this interview. I am wondering is Magento has plan to create the functionality to allow multiple vendors to manage their own products from a common site, without having access to the other vendors products or company details.

Aaron - There are no plans to add a 'marketplace' type functionality at the moment. This request has come up a few times and may make its way to the roadmap. We appreciate the feedback.

Hi Aaron. Check out the multi-vendor edition of Interspire Shopping Cart. It has the exact functionality you're after. We're about to go live for one of our clients on it and couldn't be happier.

Magento has a lot of promise - but one issue that must be resolved is performance - the front end interface is still very slow.
