I would suggest you read up more on the fall of the Roman Empire. Becoming soft was not the main reason for their fall, experts suggest 2 main reasons: 1) disregards for family values, and 2) abuse of war. Sounds you might have done a better job finding parallelisms between the USA to and the Roman Empire.

If People Want To Give Money To Any Altruistic Endeavor, They Do Not Need M$ Or Any Other "Concerned Company" To Do It For Them.

If Companies Did Not Waste Money In Bogus Campaigns, Then They Could Sell Their Products With Lower Prices.
