I've been using Motionbased.com, simply because I'm a Garmin wrist-GPS wearer. Same kind of service, with the same intent.

Being an open source advocate, I feel a call out to http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/map_input?form=forerunner is warranted. They have been a around for a while and recently made it simple to send the results to EveryTrail.com (http://www.everytrail.com/index.php) - which of course can be inserted into Facebook, completing the loop - figuratively of course.

The other great thing about MapMyRun is the ability for people to save their runs, and make their routes public. This is great when you are in an unfamiliar city. I use the public routes to figure out where local people think it is, and is not, safe to run in the city.
