NASA should demonstrate more of entrepreneurial spirit
by AlexanderNY October 2, 2007 7:52 AM PDT
50th Anniversary of Sputnik is marking the state of technological maturity of Space industry. Space flights are no longer considered the wonders of the world, but instead they became rather common places in our modern society, just like other fancy commodities or entertainment events. Therefore, more questions will rise on how much longer NASA should stay in the position of been just another government-subsidized expense center, backed by our tax-payer money and when it suppose to start operating on ?for profit? basis as many other industries do? Obviously, to stay relevant NASA should demonstrate some entrepreneurial spirit and get involved into wider cooperation with private sector.

To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Space age I have created a commemorative postcard available online at: http://www.alexanderbell.us/Docs/Sputnik50_Postcard_A3259.doc

Everybody can download and use it for non-commercial purpose: it?s free for all. The postcard will be available for download starting October 3rd, 2007.

You can also preview the image on the front page at: http://www.alexanderbell.us/Custom_Images/Sputnik50_Postcard.jpg

In addition to this, the slide show of the old Soviet Space Post stamps is available at:

Wow, what nerds! Planning on dressing up as stormtroopers on the next misson to the Deathstar in orbit around Earth? Wonder why the CEO has never been in space himself? I think he needs to change his chat name from IwishIwuzSOLO to Iminitferthe$$$. But that is just one mans opinion, isn't it?
