Comments on: Earth's temperature at 400-year high
The cause? A lot of it is from human activity, according to the National Research Council.

Though ice cores and other research data do suggest the cycle of warming/cooling has happened frequently over the earth's lifetime, no one creature on the caused the warming, until now. This will wreak havoc on the earth's population of all creatures. It will have a great impact on our ability to feed ourselves, it will likely create millions of refugees, and will make the weather much more unpredictable. And we've only done it to ourselves. That's the horror and the tragedy.

Still.. the correlation with solar activity remains, as does the fact several other bodies in our solar system are experiencing warming too ( there are no SUVs on mars or venus by the way) so the facts still point to solar cycles.
So those of you ignoring the facts (and ignore the thousands of scientists that petitioned the IPCC) and say that science agrees that we are causing warming - if your shouting at your computer saying "what about the ice cores that show correlation between CO2 and temperature" - just remember that CO2 dissolves in cold water better than warm water - so as (solar) warming occours, CO2 comes out of solution and into the air - causing a correlation between CO2 and temperature.....simple
Fact is - if you find the idea of the sun, which provides ALL of our heat, an implausable cause of global warming. then you don't know very much about science...
Actually I tend to think this about you
mmmh... please tell me the references telling that 'several other bodies in our solar system are experiencing warming too'. I would like to read them
do you think to win by copying your messages everywhere 2-3 times ?
Your arguments are weak and pointless.
Your argumentations don't explain why we are having now a so fast warming up of the planet.
Do you have a good explanation ? Show it!
Do you think that it is due to fluctuations in the solar radiation ? ahahhhah prove it !
I am curious to see how you do it. I seriously doubt the order of magnitude for this contribution has been calculate in many papers and it is largely insufficient to explain what we are witnessing now.
Prove it seriously, not just with some poor graphics that have been shown already on internet.
Even if we had much warmer cycles in our geological past we need to ask ourself whether
it is a good idea to warm up the planet in a non natural way and this fast ?
It is not you, comfortably seated at your desk that is paying the price.
Don't forget that not cycles but massive emissions of CO2 have probably lead to massive extinctions in at least two cases in the past 250 million years (Scientific American Oct 2006).
There is more to say, but I am talking with a person that is in clear denial and weights different possibilities and opinions un-equally: much in the same way is putting his weight on his posts on this webpage.

- The article says, "Climactically speaking, the last 400 years have been sort of a roller coaster ride. From 1500 to 1850, the Earth was wrapped in what climatologists call the little ice age, where temperatures dipped. Since 1850, they have been rising."
