- I'm a big believer in small electric-powered transportation. About 6 months ago I converted a tired old scooter to run on lithium batteries. Now it weighs 37 pounds instead of 50, has 7 miles range, and awesome performance. Plus it charges in just an hour. I check it in as luggage almost every time I fly. Very convenient. Recently showed it at the Maker Faire in Austin:
