Toyota Hybrid?!
by tedk7 March 15, 2007 7:07 PM PDT
Who in blazes DREAMS of a prius concept car?

Take any car, remove 2/3rds of the engine, aero-shape it to insane
degrees of ugliness, and give it tires with low enough rolling
resistence to be dangerous and you'll get 40mpg, with or without
the hybrid stuff.

Blech.

Who dreams of a prius concept car? Someone that is trying to make a more fuel efficient car with low/no emissions. How many Prius cars are sold now? There's only a few conventional cars(non diesel) that get close to 40mpg and those are the Toyota Corolla, Toyota Yaris, Honda Fit. No American cars. Also, none of them are as dangerous to drive as you like to think.

0-60 in under 3 seconds.
0-100 in under 6
and second best on Topgear's test track second only to the Ferrari Enzo by .5 second's and for less than a tenth of the price

Ferrari is art, all the rest only technology
by Peterbkz March 19, 2007 4:01 AM PDT
I have visited the Ferrari factory in Maranello some 40+ years ago. Ever since, and I have seen many a car factory, I have come to the conclusion that there are True Artists and there are car makers. Till this day Ferrari has been the only one in the former category. Btw., This has nothing to do with F1 racing. I have supported Ferrari even when they were down!
