Under the general heading of Carbon IT I'd think telecommuting would be included. It reduces the Carbon footprint resulting from commuting. Of course this area is not exactly a sexy "killer app" candidate nor is it new--hardly a magnet for VC attention.

Nevertheless it has the potential to create synergies at several levels even as adaptation increases incrementally plus we all know that the barriers to wider adaptation are hardly technical.

The new Australian Government has an increased focus on Clean Technology. In what areas is Australian industry considered among the world leaders(wind, solar, green building etc?
