ipod vs. zune..
apple fanboy argument - 'lol your zune sux, wow it's made by M$ and it's brown (if you choose brown from its choice of 10). i poop brown. plus WE have a partially eaten apple on the back and white earphones, coooooooooooolness!!
(a very observational argument, i'm sure you'd agree)
zune argument - well i need an high capacity (or small flash) mp3 player, and so i thought 'what the heck, let's try and get the best one, that's a good idea'. so i looked at ipods and zunes, and ipod had a clock over zune (clever) and zune had bigger screen, scratch resistant, xna games (read: free and unlimited), free custom backplate, wireless sync, custom background, radio (+ tagging), better desktop software, wirelessly buy songs, channels, zune pass subscription etc. etc.
apple fanboy's scornful comeback - urm, have you seen the touch, it's awesome. it has touch screen, WE can buy (drm) music wirelessly too, it has a touch screen, And WE can browse the internet with touch and it has a touch screen.
anyone with a brains response - that's cool, but I can buy a 3G smartphone for less, and don't make me spout the list of blackberry and winMo functions. i don't want to die talking about consumer electronics.
apple fanboy (again) - OMG, just shut up man!! there's more ipods than zunes. more = better. period.
me - do you apply that logic to computing software?

I love my zune, i have an 80gb and used to have a 30gb but i sold it becauseI don't need two. It is definitely the best mp3 player out there, regardless of what anyone says. I have an ipod, a creative and even a p.o.s. dell, but who am I to judge. Frankly the firmware on the zune is way above the standard set by the ipod classic. The ipod touch, touch screen its nice, but I'm not too big of a fan, plus if you want to update it, get ready to cough up some dough. Zune all free updates, and their new update is going to allow you to buy songs over wi-fi, sounds familiar to the upper hand in which apple used to have with the ipod touch, but they do not have such thing as a zune pass, or nearly as much memory on their product. After microsoft had updated the new from the old 30gb to 80gb, i have been nothing but happy with my product. Alright so i can't search the internet on it, boohoo, what are you gonna use it for anyway, google on the go or facebook(sorry not on the go, only works on wi-fi, just like the zune)? That isn't important to me. Last but not least the new navigation system they have, it works just as a touch screen does, without ever touching the screen, so you never have to deal with fingerprints getting all over your precious product. Apple only has such a huge fan base, not because of brain washing, but for making quality products, before anyone else. Give zune a chance, and one day things will change, that is until everyone buys a macbook to match their ipod. So there you have it, I may sound like a zune fan boy, well then so be it. I am only a person who has tried many products, and I have been the most happy with this one.

I just bought an 80gb zune, and paid $249 for it. I'm thinking about taking it back and then getting the 120gb zune once it's available. One thing I heard though was that the new 120gb zune will not ship with the premium headphones. I really like the headphones that came with my 80gb zune. Anyone know for sure if the 120gb zune will have the premium headphones or not?

my roommate and i were at our walmart ....aaahhhh ..,.very early friday morning i think and our buddy that works in electronics, knowing i had bought 2 80 gig zunes at the end of june...said...come on over and check this out...lo and behold they had the 120 gig zunes...on the one hand ,i did get a insanely good deal on the 2 i got($123 a piece at walmart, brand new) it did still sorta tick my off that they came out 2 and a half months later with the 120's...i woulda got that in a heartbeat.
granted i have not owned an apple mp3 player and the zune was my first mp3(and btw,i was intending to buy an ipod to begin with:) )....however when i was shopping around and after i checked out the zune a friend had(and ya,the insane deal didnt hurt) i was sold on the zune.the screen is bigger, the picture quality is amazing and now everybody that checks mine out wants one also.and the ipods dont have the fm tuner.also i can use the same points between my zune and xbox for downloads which is real convenient .
