Comments on: Xbox takes center stage, opens E3 2009

It seems likely that some kind of motion-sensitive controller will be high on Microsoft's agenda for its video game console during its press briefing Monday.

uuh, yeah...Sony just whooped Microsoft's ass IMO. much better motion capture that only has a ~20-70ms delay with perfect accuracy. go watch the Sony press conference. there is one available at IGN

ok, so i understand that there are a lot of diehard Wii, PS, and Microsoft rivals who are biased on here, and i'm not afraid to say i prefer Xbox, but lets be rational here people. ok, YES, they're not the first ones to try motion sensing. YES, 2 of the most looked forward to are halo. YES, its not REVOLUTIONIZING anything. however, when it comes to motion sensing, they have taken it the farthest possible. i understand that the whole body thing has been done with the PS2 before, and that the Wii has the Wii-mote and that reacts, but the PS2 thing (name escapes me) was quite buggy and was obviously not at the caliber of the new NATAL. and since everyone is so happy with using analogies in this chat, how bout this? the wright brothers weren't the first to try and fly, but they were the first to succeed. they may have been the first to actually fly, but others took it several steps further by making the airplanes we have now. my point is, so what if others did it first? so what if they arent actually revolutionizing it? its better, and thats all that matters.

now, when it comes to the halo games, SONY AND NINTENDO DIEHARDS SHUT UP. i have only 3 words for Sony diehards: Final Fantasy Series. you guys cant say anything about making more games of the same series. and for the Nintendo diehards, how about Mario, Legend Of Zelda, the sonic games, the mega man games, the Pokemon games... believe me, the list can go on for a while. at least the halo: Reach has a basis. its based on one of the halo books. yes yes, call me a nerd, i already said that i like prefer Xbox, but you can't deny the fact that what i have said is true.

smart and logical people, email me if you have conflicting opinions that make sense. and not just "LOL XBOX SUX PS RUELZ." none of that crap.

I agree some people will always bash the Xbox or anything else merely because it comes from Microsoft (some people are that short-minded, one just has to accept it), but that doesn't mean all other suck either (or you're being as short-minded as the people you criticize) - IMO all Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony have great consoles and it will certainly take Microsoft and specially Sony some work to catch Nintendo on this race (these news are a good start for Microsoft, I would say).

Nice to see Microsoft improving and innovating the already-appealing Xbox 360 - it's certainly going to take them some of that to catch Nintendo on this race, which still has the best console overall IMO.
