Personally, i'm a christian, and i want this game as bad as most people!
Well, that would be like expecting ducks to hunt like lions, wouldn't it? As most videogames are based on fantasy anyway (F-22 flight simulators are not flying off the shelves, are they?), only the most extreme among us nut jobs would be in arms over Spore. Spore sounds like a nice fantasy escape. ;)

If Will Wright had an unblemished record of producing only truly innovative and fun games your idolatry might have some merit. He has an impressive collection of outstanding games, but an equally impressive collection of so-so games.
Besides, if it is a truly innovative game it will flop. Only lowest common denominator games succeed anymore.
