Bank of America does support "web standards" despite their site specifying what browsers it officially supports..

I use their online banking service regularly and with a number of different browsers. Most of the time I use Firefox but I've also used Konqueror, Epiphany and Opera and all work equally well. I've never had a problem with the site, regardless of the browser.

In fact I'd been considering emailing their webmaster for the past few years to congratulate them (and suggest they remove the "supported browsers" notation from thier site as they in fact support most any browser).

"As the usage of Firefox browsers has increased with our customer base, we will be initiating a full support model for Firefox version 2.x in the very near future,"

How can the usage of an unsupported browser increase? I mean... Obviously, many people who could (or wanted to) use Firefox either did not use the bank's site at all (thus not increasing the use with their customer base), or already used it even though it was not supported.

Isn't this thinking backwards?
