Hmmm...neither the HU or the hole in your dash look to be double din. I can't see much because of the way you took the pics, but looks to be single din to me. If you were really going to write an article about this topic, I think it would have been better with more full pics of the install.

Sorry, I didn't include in the post that to install this unit, I used a bracket kit that included a plastic "placeholder" to fill the extra space. Some people use them for CD storage. But the blog is really about the installation of the module, not the stereo deck, so I focused more on the connection at the back of the deck.

Ah...bracket makes sense. I guess I was thinking, how can I listen to someone talk about something like this if they didn't know the difference between single and double din. It does make sense now. You could have had a nice double din replacement with NAV and all kinds of niceties (rather than what you got), but I guess if you don't drive a lot...why bother? I'm glad to see this works well in a convertible with the top down. That's why I have held off on one of these, but I guess all makes could have much different quality.

Hey Steve, you look like you have a leach coming out of your ear. Know this might not upset you but this is ridiculous, so you can still talk and be distacted and put the rest of us in jepordy while you are behind the wheel?? Are your phone friends really that important. Get with the program Steve and do the rest of us a big favor, and I won't have to imagine things growing out of folks' brains!!! The "upside" MAYBE you won't kill anybody while you are driving distracted!!!

It has been a few months since the installation. Any update on the experience? Also besides the press release from Dual, I haven't seen any description on how to use Voice Dial. Does your phone have voice dial and does this Dual unit support that? If so how does it activate the Voice Dial feature of your phone?
