You forgot to mention that the Huffington Post is a extreme left-wing rag with no moral scrupples. So by association so is Dunbar's because you failed to mention this fact.

I'm with the Dunbars. I'd love to know how to build an online community for my safety and security products. Training dogs and puppies is a useful venture. It brings civility to the dog world so I applaud the Dunbars for their contribution. However, my products save lives, protect their owners and their possessions. I feel strongly about getting them into the hands of people all over our country for the good they will do. I would embrace this idea whole heartedly if it would accomplish that goal!

Hi!

I work for Ning and would be happy to help the Dunbar's with any questions they have about setting up a network. They can best reach out via our Help Center - http://help.ning.com/?page_id=24 or our Network for Network Creators called, well, Network Creators - http://networkcreators.ning.com.

Thanks!
Laura

Hi, Kelly Dunbar here.

We had a great time at the conference. I just wanted to make a quick correction about the article.

Gene at Bunchball was very helpful and informative and didn't quote us anything near 50K for their service, I must not have been clear in the interview.

Ian & I really were impressed by their concept and attention to rewarding human behavior. It was right up our alley!

I should also mention Bunchball has a variable model that includes fixed fee's,
CPMM/performance and a rev/share option that doesn't require any upfront
fees.

Oh, and one other correction for Jamie's sake. He didn't move back in after university, he has his own place.

Thanks!

"The Dunbars have put about $20,000 into their site, DogStarDaily.com, in the 18 months they've been working on it. And they've made about $400 so far from book sales and ads."

No surprise. The site design and structure turns off the most enthusiastic dog lover. Center picture: a pile of dog feces...? The content of the site is great, the Dunbar's motivation is great and their competence without question, but they should give the site design to someone who knows what he/she's doing.
