Most of the site looks normal now, but shopping cart checkout is still not working for me.

So you are saying that if someone can't order a book or CD at 1030, they won't wait until 3, therefore Amazon lost money?

Do they have any "disaster recovery backups"? Amazon has money can't believe that site went down just like that for whole 2 hours.

I wrote about it too but who know's they might be hacked? Wouldn't be the first time!

I can't believe something this inane is the CNET front page.

Tech is really that dry these days guys? Sure, if it was down for a few days I'd understand, but an hour and a half? Please.

This is sad, sad reporting.

@ tjharman

Dude, I thought the Cnet News front page was automated depending on clicks and traffic?

You mean they manually make things a main news feature? Now that would be sad. Tell me its not true.

All the best,

It appears that kindle content delivery is still experiencing issues. Spoke with their digital delivery support team and the fella there said they were running a platform upgrade when things went sideways. Leads me to give credence to the 'Upgrade for the new iPhone' crowd.

does it matter much? Are you all chained to the PC or can you go out and enjoy the Spring weather?
