The city of Richmond is should be ashamed of their actions by the so called progressive democrats in charge of that city....This is not the only thing they are doing. They also plan to set up check points to stop people for no reason other than to see if they have a drivers liscense ...Where is the outrage ? Where is the ACLU ? http://www.contracostatimes.com/contracostacounty/ci_9262297

Hmmmm, I see an increase in sales of wireless jamming devices, like those used in movie theatres. May be time to buy some stock in them........

I know...it makes me a bit uncomfortable thinking someone might be watching me. And isn't it true that every good and useful tool somehow ends up being used in wrong ways. It's just in the human nature. However, law enforcement needs all the help they can get. If they can police themselves to curtail misuse, these surveillance cameras just might help solve a crime or save a life someday. Isn't it also true that the best way for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing. At least Richmond, California is doing something!

I support the camera systems. Of course, people's privacy must be protected, but can't they do that with curtains? The cameras in public areas are only keeping good people safe and bad people in check.
