This would turn HP into IBM, but with massive PC and Printer Businesses.

Well, golly, look what HP did for Compaq...and before that, Tandem. If they acquire EDS, that will be the death knell for EDS employees...

HP paid an undisclosed sum to a Senior Consultant just recently for wrongful termination.
Would you want to trust HP to grow your money?

there was a story earlier last week about principals being too emotionally attached to be involved directly at the negotiating table in major transactions (regarding yahoo/ms and yang/ballmer). most of us, wrote in how the majority of the examples were too small a transactions to really be able to compare to a MS/YAHOO. This type of transaction would definitely be more in alignment with the size we were thinking when trying to compare.

This article is factually incorrect.

PricewaterhouseCoopers was not for sale and was never sold. In fact, PwC could not have been sold, as their core assurance business, which accounts for the bulk of revenues and personnel, is required by law to be owned by licensed accountants. It was only the consulting practice which was transferred to IBM.

The fact that the writer of this article thought the largest professional services firm in the world was sold to IBM speaks volumes about the credibility of a tech site writing about the business world.

Wow, you took 2 sentences of 1 paragraph and tried to use them to discredit an entire article and belittle the author.

Now, I want you to chop down the largest tree in the forest...with a herring.
