This article establishes a strong set of links between corrupt lawyer-lobbyist Jack Abramoff, his team, some corrupt legislators and Microsoft Corporation. Microsoft expended a total of about $100 million in direct and indirect legislative expenses between 1995 and 2000 to help procure three employer-friendly changes to H-1B visa legislation.

Mike has been on the Microsoft account since 2005, according to lobbying disclosure forms. The H-1B visa has been one of Mike's issues for Microsoft. The 2005 and 2006 lobbying disclosures called the program "HB1" perhaps to thwart searches. The typo was corrected in the 2007 disclosure. Microsoft is currently using many other lobbying firms.
Note that a 2007 Microsoft news release informed us that about 1/3 of Microsoft's 46,000 workforce is here on a work visa (or is now a naturalized citizen)

- http://www.nrisoft.com claims to pay top dollar to H1b employees. One guy claims to be making $160,000.00, nearly triple the wage of the bodyshop he was working for!
