A single story, perhaps?
by Vegaman_Dan May 6, 2008 8:18 AM PDT
It's really getting hard to tell what story is being reported on CNET of late. How many different blogs/articles/posts have been written about this merger in the last couple of days?

Enough to create a whole separate section.

Really guys, you don't ALL have to post about it. It's done, over, kaput, terminated. The deceased equine has been smacked.

It would be far easier to keep track of if CNET only let a couple of reporters write stories on it for different viewpoints than the half dozen or more that are out there now. It shows confusion and lack of direction on the part of the editors in my opinion.

That's just my opinion, and worth about as much as that dead horse mentioned earlier. :)

So you're saying bring back Terry Semel?
by iBuzz May 6, 2008 9:12 AM PDT
Under Terry Semel, Yahoo's focus was to be a media company.
But apparently that wasn't working. Are you suggesting that was
the correct focus all along and that getting rid of Semel was a
mistake?

Really? meehh..., here's my 4 simple steps to get Y! back!.
by ismetd May 6, 2008 9:44 AM PDT
here's my take; 4 simple steps.

1) Gradually, downsize the Yahoo's f@ck1ng front page. It looks like bloated, acts like bloated, people are afraid to go in there.

2) Minimize (or completely get rid of) graphic adds anywhere in the site, I hate those, People hate those, I stopped using otherwise great Yahoo mail for this reason only.

3) Copy Google, one can learn much from success of another.

4) Contact me if you need help.

I want my Yahoo back, we loved it so much back in 90s.

thanks
