Tom, Tom, Tom

Sorry Tom; Scientology, like any other religion founded in
modern times, will always be relegated to Cult status.

Generally speaking, religions get respect not because they make
sense but because they're traditions deeply woven into our
history. When a religion is founded it needs a base of
ignorant/superstitious people to grow on. There's just not
enough people who believe in magical forces anymore -
"science" can explain most of the unknown.

People cling to the old religions today because they're traditions
passed down for generations - people want a bond with the
past and are unwilling to apply the same skepticism and logic to
traditional faiths. They are not, however, willing to give new
faiths the same benefit of the doubt.

A very sad actor...

It's actually quite embarrassing to read about and see Tom Cruise trying to restore his former "All-American" image.
There's nothing left: not the "boy next door," and he's certainly no movie studio mogul.
Now Cruise is "snapping up ads" and launching his own website? LOL! It's absolutely pathetic.
We'll NEVER, EVER see another Tom Cruise movie, nor will our children, etc.
Scientology is a notorious and dangerous cult that the US government should be investigating and banning. Yet, the US government allows them to be called a "church" and permits them a tax free exemption. I cannot believe the United States of America is allowing this. Then again, they knew the holocaust was going on for years and did nothing...
Another pathetic attempt by the desparate Cruise. We're embarrased for him, really.
Is Tom Cruise attempting to take over the world?

This is what happens when you give crazy entertainers more money
than they know what to do with. I promise you this, I will never go
and see a Tom Cruise movie again! And what happened to those
hackers that were going to destroy Scientology? Please guys, we
need you!

Why the hatred?
by loserguy3000 May 4, 2008 5:29 PM PDT
Did Tom Cruise do something awful to you, Desiree Everts? Did he say something particularly offensive that gives you such joy in assuming that his jumping on a couch makes him (in your words) a lunatic?

Has Cnet become US Weekly or Entertainment Tonight? Why the hatred from so many online? Has Tom Cruise raped anyone? Molested anyone? Sold anyone illegal drugs? Taken anti/pro-American stances you don't care for?

Enjoy your paragraph Desiree (is it any surprise that you're a female writing this?), as it makes you part of the sub-1% of the trendy chic, practically anonymous online bloggers who'd rather tear down a complete stranger because all the cool kids are doing it, then take a moment to rationalize the idiocy of it all.

I hope Cnet rises above this trash, its an embarrassment to everyone involved. Keep on subject guys (and gals), and divest yourselves from the ignorant ramblings of Tabloid America. What's next, Lindsay Lohan reports? Friggin pathetic.

Stop, scientologist, to try to make believe that people HATE scientologists or Cruise... what they "hate" is the fact that the CULT is dishonest, is violating human rights of its members and opponents, and that it wants to conquer the planet as a totalitarian system!
Tom?

HAHA this is a great way for anonymous to attack thier pocket book.

Every time you see one of these.. CLICK-IT! This well cost Scientology wasted money. And if we all start clicking it, they well cancel this campaign almost immediately. PLUS.. they might have the limit set and after 1000 click a day... the ad's stop till tomorrow.

So click "AdWords" those Scientology Links that they are paying so dearly for.

@ loserguy3000 - Tom is the #1 mouth piece of a very dangerous cult. If he wants to use his face to promote this crap. Then its FAIRGAME for the critics to give him a ton of crap for it.

Great job Desiree and please ignore the Scientologist douchetards like loserguy3000.

No suprise here: either Cruise thinks he has to pay for all the bad reputation his actioons have added to the already horrible reputation of his criminal cult (many times convicted!), either the cult itself can't restrain using every "communication particle" he thinks of to try to buy some new client-victims. What these people, Cruise or his cult leaders, do not realize, is that the most they speak and appear in hypocrite ways, the more their reputation will suffer. Neither Cruise nor scientologists are credible as long as they believe that they must conquer the planet , or that their bodies are filled with Body Thetans, or that all psychology and psychiatry and medecine are bad.
