If this idiot wants a $5 per month fee, set up a damn subscription service on warner.com and leave the rest of us alone. But understand I know damn well I would never visit the site, buy your music, or watch your movies. But at least I wouldn't have to hear your greedy lying comments in the media.

- A tax or fee of any variety is unfair as it assume that a) every user of the internet is downloading music and b) every user of the internet is doing it illegally c)the internet is world-wide. How can you tax other jurisdictions?

Showing 2 of 2 pages (42 Comments)I use my internet connection almost 100% for browsing and shopping, I hardly ever download anything except Microsoft updates (there sure are a lot of those!) I have never downloaded music from the net and am not really interested in doing so. I don't even own and MP3 player. My wife owns an Ipod but gets all her stuff from iTunes.
So wouldn't taxing us for music downloads when either don't use it, or purchase it legally be in fact charging for something we didn't do, or already paid for.
I agree with many of the comments, if you want money from us, set up a subscription or other type service and let those of us who aren't interested stay uninvolved. Take my money without providing me any service just pisses me off. Talk about taxation without representation.
