OK But Firefox 3 Beta Is Better
by Tim_Olaguna March 22, 2008 12:53 PM PDT
I'm a Mac and PC user. I've been following Safari's development on Windows for awhile. It is nice to have as an alternative. But I regularly use Firefox on both my PC and Mac. Firefox is so much more flexible and customizable. And now I find Firefox's 3 beta to be even faster than Safari.

I can easily make new customized toolbars on Firefox. You cannot do that on Safari, which limits you to only four bars with very limited options.

Sorry Safari. Compared to Firefox (on both a PC and a Mac) you're just an also-ran.

Although not the way to send the message by loading the software
in a bundle through an update.
Safari is faster than IE7. It does not seem to bog down when has
loaded over the coarse of a few days while constantly loading
changing pages. When you set the search engine, it is set and you
won't reboot find an alternate there.
I've loaded safari(not through an update), and so far it seems to be
a stable and solid option to the alternate, IE7.

Easiest-to-use? Really?

I am a victim of this new development. I downloaded Safari via the Software update. I have to say, I find Safari too confusing to use. Maybe I'm just too used to IE7 and Firefox...

IE is part of Windows

Internet Explorer is native to Windows. Safari isn't. What was really meant was that Microsoft doesn't push IE on Macs. They don't even make it for Macs anymore.

Safari Is Awesome!!

The best browser by far. I am very glad that they sent me an update via Itunes or Quick time or whatever it was. I never would have found it otherwise. Why are computer people, both PC and Apple, so touchy and picky about everything?

I agree. I didn't even realize it was there until a few days ago my son noticed it(because of using it at his school.) So, I gave it a test drive. I am really liking it a lot.

It's hilarious reading these comments from both sides. Do you think that most people care? And that one side or company is good or evil, are you serious? Note how Google went from cool upstart to unholy doomsday machine overnight. Check yourselves everybody. None of this even existed 30 years ago.
