Flo Rida is a Liar
by audioman7 March 11, 2008 3:46 PM PDT
this is really all crap because our website was subject to several legal threats by atlantic records who told us to take down a LINK to a Flo Rida videos from our website (not videos, links to videos on youtube)

"Not only that but they went as far as to track down our ISP, filed a DMCA breach against them, forcing them to then threaten us with shutting down our servers if we did not remove the link to the Flo Rid Video. This is what we received - we were given 24 hours to comply.

We have received a notice pursuant to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (?DMCA?) from Atlantic Records Group regarding certain content appearing at the above-referenced website (the ?Website?). A copy of this notice has been sent to you via email at XXXXXXXXXXX.com. Atlantic Records Group alleges that material posted on your company?s website infringes on their copyright. Please remove the content claimed to be infringing from the Website and confirm to me in writing that you have done so by 8:00 A.M. Central Time, Wednesday March 5, 2008. If the allegedly infringing content is not removed and/or I have not received your written confirmation by that time, XXXXXXXXX will suspend network access to the server(s) hosting the Website."

Did you read the article
by Pixelslave March 11, 2008 4:34 PM PDT
Did you read the article at all? In no way did he said he needs no RIAA -- it's the headline of the article that says "Rising rap star doesn't need RIAA". Flo Rida only adviced other artists not to worry about that if they do blah blah blah (refer to the article, please.)

If there's anything negative to say, it's the misleading headline written by the author. I've learned that many years ago, reading headlines is one sure way to give me wrong information.

What most artists forget

This guy is doing it the right way. Listen to what he says about connecting with fans on a personal level. That's what it's bout. It's about entertaining people and making them feel like part of the act. If you listen to monsters in the business like Gene Simmons from Kiss you'll hear that same respect for the fans. This guy gets it.
