Disingenuous at best. Mr. Schmidt knows better than that. If he's already fibbing at the first announcement, how can we trust Google as it grows and becomes intertwined with our daily lives?

Libraries full of books are one thing. This much deeply personal information in the hands of an advertising-driven, unregulated company is something else entirely.

I'm getting a bit anxious as I watch this monster evolve.

seen a legal document jump out of a file cabinet and fix a problem, including compromise of confidential data.

I will agree with Mr. Wright that legal terms and conditions have some value, but they certainly will not prevent careless or malicious actions. And those two account for nearly the entire threat.
