battle of the evil empires
by expatincebu February 2, 2008 3:47 PM PST
Big corporations are bad news, bigger ones are worse news. Big government is terrible, big business is downright evil. No merger or acquisition is good news. Small business was the heart of America. That heart has been ripped out by corporate fascism. Too bad.

Bad Idea to Bet Against Rupert Murdoch
by keaggy220 February 2, 2008 4:19 PM PST
Second guessing Rupert Murdoch is not something that I would
put in writing and the comparison with AOL-Time Warner is a bad
one. Steve Case is no Rupert Murdoch.

I'm not a big fan of what Rupert Murdoch has done with news - that
is, to dumb down complex issues to 30 seconds or less (in reality
the news was headed this way - he just accelerated the process,)
but the last thing I would ever do is bet against him.

Come on Chuck, is this really news at all? Rumor, and your opinion? BORING as well as meaningless. I don't blame you Chuck, I blame your Editors. This should never have left their desks.
