Similar concept to Sun's Niagara

Niagara 1 and Niagara 2 use short, in-order pipelines to minimize power consumption.

Niagara processors gain performance by maximizing the output of that pipeline via multithreading, and parallel cores.

It would be interesting if Intel built a multicore server version of this chip.

Quote from this article:
"Out-of-order chips have higher performance, but they burn more energy."
From the Glenn Henry (Centaur CEO) interview by the same reporter refering to the OOO CN Chip:
"The chips, which utilize the so-called Isaiah architecture, are expected to provide double the performance of the company's current chips but consume the same amount of power."
