- If you really want to talk about cutting edge, you'd be better off taking about a camera like the "Red One".

- great looking camera but........

- the camera you mention looks great but not many of us up and coming types can afford it. the price is hefty to say the least at $17500 dollars just for the main body, with a panasonic at around $6000 or the canon which is close to its price range we can shoot great footage for half the price of the red one or less and use the money that would have been spent on it for other vital equipment. but I will say thank you for puttin that post up cuz when it comes time to step up that camera does look like an awesome tool I had no idea of before.

(5 Comments)A 4K digital camera, that completely replaces film and shoots with a visually lossless codec, not this terrible dvcpro HD codec the HVX200 uses.(films at 1440x1080 and then Stretches it back to 1920x1080, ewww)
Full 4K or 2k uncompressed, that's the future of digital filmaking, not something that is basically 2 steps backwards when it comes to quality.
Amazing image quality, and system versatility. Once they get them
debugged, they are going to take over, like FinalCut Pro has for
video editing.
