Comments on: Fujitsu's 'Corn' PC

It's a regular PC inside casing made of bio-plastics. Now on sale in Japan, it could hit the U.S. next.

I'm glad to see computer manufacturers taking charge and "Going Green". I just bought an HP but my next notebook (3-4yrs from now) will definitely be a "corn PC" or better.

I'm not sure this is a good idea. If it were made from corn stalks
that would be different, but the demand for bio-fuels is already
driving corn prices up. If this sort of thing keeps up, you may have
to eat your computer because grain prices will be so high you can't
afford a loaf of bread ;-)

They add just 15% cornstarch to plastic shopping bags to allow them to decay to shreds after exposure to sunlight. I wonder how this case will fare if used outdoors much?
