The Jerk took the bribe

Everyone in America is being railroaded by cable companies. I dont
see grounds for hesitation. This is america... the customer is
supposed to be right... the customers want to buy channels that
THEY want to watch, not be strongarmed into having to buy
channels they dont want while still being unable to have channels
they do want like NFL Network.

Re: NFL Non-Network

Whatever the sins of the cable companies and the FCC, it's important Americans understand clearly that the NFL chose to make football unavailable on the free networks on which we watched "The Game" for a half century.

The NFL - no one else - chose to force Americans to pay to watch; ergo, the NFL chose - in many fans' view - to destroy their own market.

College ball in the 21st century is more fun to watch anyway.

To h**l with the NFL - may they rest somewhere not exactly in peace.
Cable

Our cable provider has not decided on a course of action for 2009 as of yet, I do believe most cable providers will opt to give customers the analog boxes to convert the signal. I have an HD set and would like to have access to an HD box;however no input from our cable company Suddenlink, formerly Cebridge Connections. ENFORCE THE NEW FCC RULES I SAY, they have the money and the means to do so. Cable should come up to the standards of Satellite, which already offers such services and has for some time with a convertor box for HD sets.

Your Gov't at Work???
by JonB. November 29, 2007 7:13 AM PST
This is another example of a gov't. agency that's working on
behalf of the industry, and not for you or the average Joe. They
respond to high power lobbists with deep pockets. There is a
total lack of morals in gov't.
