People say (and mostly they are right) that little clips of a show are a good advertisement.
So why not play it Viacom's way and go back to the old model. If you think your clip is providing advertisement to Viacom, or other companies, send them a bill. Tell them you are an advertising company, and want to promote some show. They understand that language. Instead of them suing you, get them to pay you for your hard work of finding good clips of a show and going through the trouble of trying to get other people to watch the show. Either they will gladly pay your "advertising company" or they will suddenly decide that they like the "free advertising" model better. Either way - the public wins. Either way Viacom wins, but one is a bigger win than the other.

- People work hard to make music and movies and everyone around here thinks they should get everything for free. Move out of your parents basement and start your own company and when you get rich you can call yourself every bad name in the book. Why did Apple want to charge me $600 for 2gb of ram for my macbook? Because they are into making tons of money. Microsoft is trying not to get sued. People want to get paid for their hard work. Dorks like you guys should not be able to just down load the content from youtube or limewire for free. How would you like it if someone took your welfare check?
