If eBay really wants to put a dent in Craigslist they're going to have to keep their service free.
Craig's List will be fine, however. People just like it better.
But I agree, why pay for something when the free is already out there?
Here's a question--how 'bout getting paid for your listings? isn't that better than just free? and better than ebay insertion fees? that's what a friend of mine is trying out on www.listasaurus.com. I personally think it's a great concept, and while it may not take down craigs or ebay (for a while, lol), hopefully there's still room for a little competition.
Hey, look at what Google did when Yahoo was already the big gun...

Well..., my interests are helping others to develop their personal qualities ad I love networking with optimistic and positive people who nothing else but enjoying life that we only have one shot at. I am new to this world or internet networking and I am not exactly a spring chicken who grow with this technology. I am in the older generation but love learning and spreading my wings, so here I am.... and I hope you would share your skills and knowledge with me too....
I have been developing articles in relation to self care and how we can execute our actions upon those continuous messages, advices, suggestions, guidance and recommendations posted or published by experts in any particular subjects.
My expertise is to set out ways how we can utilise our mind power to execute our actions. We all know many things and continue to find new ways of getting better in many ways but oftn fail in really executing our action to actually achieve our goals.
I have studied and applied various concepts and methods and proven which onces worked successfully. I therefore am ready to share them with those who are interested. I have a lot of FREE information and a few others at very low cost just to cover my basic expenses.
Anyway, I'll you here for now. In the mean time, visit www.myspace.com/tennyselfcareonline and join my blogs, it's just a social blog containing useful and meaningful information that will help our life style.
You can also join me on facebook.com.
Cheers for now.

- Does finding an item for sale really need to be as painful and teadious process as sites like Craig's make it? I would much rather cruise around a well-planned, though out, and easy-on-the-eyes classified website like Oodle.com, zumThing.com, or Vast any day.

(17 Comments)It seems that the only reason Craig is doing so well is due to the popularity contest that he appears to be winning, not becuase the website is superior and offers great classified searching tools, but because people just know to look there... and eventually after hours of digging through posts and hastacks tend to find what they were looking for ( a needle perhaps).
I guess I'm not one to settle. Just my two cents...
