Ubuntu?

This is for the 4 single guys in the country who use Linux on a desktop. This is just a publicity stunt.

but it's a boon for Linux and more over for Ubuntu (which I personally like). The beautiful thing is that like most everything else in life if you don't like it you don't have to buy it. Plenty of other laptops that come pre-installed with Windows.
Thats OK

You can keep using Windblows. Have you ever tried ubuntu? Afraid you'll like it?
You're an uninformed idiot! Take your misinfomed ignorance elsewhere!

Ubuntu?

Please tell me what color the sky is in your world?

If, as you say Linux and specifically Ubuntu desktops are so rare, why have a publicity stunt?

Hard to say they are using publicity stunts to drum up sales of free software!

Matter of fact, I can't think of what being single has to do with it, but I can tell you I run a Linux desktop and I am happily married. I also can count 12 others off the top that I know run Ubuntu or other Linux flavored desktops. Not for "fun" for business.

OH but I forgot I am probably talking to a Microsoft-ite that loves paying and paying and paying for the spoon-fed software experience.
Well, I'm single...

but I still have my $250 that I didn't spend on Vista.

What planet are you living in? It certainly cannot be this one. In
planet Earth majority of web servers use linux for stability and
speed, high end 3d workstations use linux for the same reason too.
In Earth even Microsoft used linux for its gaming consoles. All the
Macs are linux in their core too. They are just Unix with a fancy
graphical user interface. etc...
Hmm, now I belive I counted more than "4 single guys"
Oh one more thing, Dell doesn't sell only in USA, its worldwide.
Just get a think pad instead

Dells are junk. They didn't even take the time to make sure the
sound controls work without crashing all the time. My 5 year old
think pad loads any linux fine and everything works perfect. IBM
laptops are the best option for linux. Linux users don't need a
company to install an OS for us. We are smart enough to do it all
our selfs. And yes I have a girl friend and I porked her last night.
