Comments on: Leaked Leopard loose, lawyers looming?

Someone has uploaded the beta copy of Apple's Leopard Mac OS X handed out at WWDC to a file-sharing site. You're not supposed to do that.

Nice title. Alliteration is one of favorite literary devices.

Remember the Public Beta of OS X? So what is their problem with people using a beta of Leopard? Do they really think for a second that they can hand it out to a room full of "developers"...so of which are nothing more than bored people who payed the large sum of money that Apple demands to be listed as a 'developer'...and NOT have it show up here and there? come...on. I see the client and server version available for download from a number of places and was posted within hours of the conference. Apple is quite simply a very, very mean company without any heart what-so-ever.

i have one word for you...entitlement. People nowadays think
that they should be entitled to have everything digital (movies,
music, software. etc) online for free at all times.

So lets say you spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars
creating something, share it with people to build their
applications around it in an effort to help you make your product
better and they, despite promising to keep it under wraps,
decide, screw you, im giving it to the world. thats ok?

i dont think so. paying for a broadband account has no bearing
whatsoever on you having access to items you have not
purchased. if you want free software, go use linux, want free
movies, watch tv, want free music, go listen to a street musician
or in an elevator, but as a business owner i take umbrage with
the idea that someone protecting their IP, their product is
somehow wrong when its being accessed or used illegally.

No heart? Apple has more heart & passion then a lot of companies, but I think YOU need the reality check before you can understand why.
