but they do not know if they will be getting any on release day.
The Radio Shack down the street told me they just found out
they will be getting them as well, but they do not know when
and if it is on release day. They also know nothing about a 6
P.M. sell time.
The (non company owned) store in the mall has no information,
or any idea about the phones. They assume they will be getting
them but they do not know when.
The only thing we seem to know is they will be going on sale
June 29th at 6:00 P.M. But where? Corporate stores only? Apple
stores? 3rd party stores?
-bricks from London Bridge
-beach front property in Arizona
-"buying" a star for your significant other
-fool's gold
Radio Shack, Best Buy and non-company owned stores WILL NOT GET THE IPHONE! They will only be at company owned stores and apple stores. I honestly would go to a at&t store because at the apple store they don't have the on-site equipment to transfer numbers, start new accounts, etc. without them calling it in and it taking a very long time. I work for AT&T and I have good communications with folks on the wireless side. If there is a store who doesn't know anything about closing at 4:30pm and opening at 6:00pm, that store isn't getting the phone plus if they say they aren't sure if they are getting it, trust THEY AREN'T GETTING THEM!! In summary go to your AT&T store around 4:00pm, hang around the store until they close it, get in line at 4:30 and wait until 6:00 for them to open. Also, don't expect any at the store to tell you all the things the phone can do since they will only get their hands on the phone when they are delivered at 4:30. The phones are actually being delivered at that time, so they aren't going to be there the day before for the employees to learn about all the features. It will be one of those "learn on the fly" things. Hope that helps.
