Tons of prior art. This patent was granted last year
by unknown unknown July 14, 2005 2:57 PM PDT
more specificly January 6 2004. There's TiVo and ReplyTV. Then there is the open source FreeVo and MythTV.

The fact the patent was approved in 2004 isn't relevant to Prior Art. The patent was filed in Oct. 2002 so the Prior Art would have had to be published prior to Oct. 2001. Was it? I don't know.

Automobile Patent

Man, if only I had patented the automobile! Imagine, I can sue companies for putting the brake pedal on the left, and the accelerator (sp?) pedal on the right! I could have made money based on other people/companies efforts! Whoa!
