Brand consistency anyone?

The irony of Palm, becoming PalmOne after acquiring Handspring
which was started by Palm's founder (Jeff Hawkins), to then revert
to Palm, and then even after announcing the name change their
website page header still reads, "Welcome to palmOne, formerly
Palm, Inc." (as of 2:30 today). See screen shot @ http://

At least nobody ever think of that company as a palm-reading service :)
Another downgrade fixation

How could they screw the already handsome and elegant logo with this orange-not-so-impressive logo? What were they thinking? Did the agency told them that they previous logo is not invisible and lets make it to orange to be visible?

Nothing's changed?!

I think this story is probably right. Mr. Colligan conspicuously left off CUSTOMER SERVICE as one of his areas of promised improvement. If Palm spent more attention to customer service or support they wouldn't need much else. Ever tried calling their Help line?

Gimme a break. Nothing to see here, folks. Move on.

Once a scamer allways A Scamer!

They can change there name all they want, it will not change the fact that Palm or what ever they call them selves next month i s still ripping off end users, with ther 129$ replacement Battery scam!

I had a Palm Zire 71 the battery went dead even before I had it a year, they replaced the battery...then less than a year later, it went dead again, and it was no longer in warinty..I was told it would cost me 129$

I asked em how much the batery was I was told they do not sell part s and I must send it in to them and pay them there 129$

I found that laptopsforless.com sold PDA batteries they had the zire 71 Bat. for 46$ plus the instructions and tool needed to open your Zire 71

But I found that my Zire71 ha d the battery soderd to the Motherboard so I could not replace it.

So I tosed my palm Zire and Got a Dell Pocket PC The Axim x50v
It has a easy to access battery pack "not all Pocket PC's do"

And Windows Mobile is 10X as good as the Palm OS will ever be.
