... such as word processing and spreadsheets, to people on the Web for free--a threat to Microsoft's core desktop business..."<<< However, when all is said and done; what happens to the so-called (Microsoft and Google) status quo of the word processing and spreadsheets space when "IBM's Open Lotus SmartSuite" and Lotus Notes 8.0 (with the integration of Lotus Sametime) hit the marketplace very soon?

Cant they spend more money on bandwidth on it? I am not asking for engineering ingenuity or secureness, just plain $ for more bandwidth.

Who in the world would still want to use Online Word Processing and Spreadsheet Technologies from Microsoft and Google to undertake those complicated and sophisticated "spreadsheet functionalities" at hand when they are both "baby stepped" products which have morphed from IBM's LOTUS KONA!

Get ready for the IBM's "OPEN LOTUS SMARTSUITE" coming with Open Document Format Standards (ODF) support folks!
