No Suprise

I'm not suprised that Sony would recall their own batteries for their own laptops.

Now, would somebody kindly explain in simple layman battery terms how this faulty manufacturing process and materials got out of hand to create the largest and massive battery recall in the history of planet earth?

Most interesting, too little too late, after third parties have recalled some 7 million plus batteries in use in laptops, and only now they elect to offer up a recall, it obviously means that SONY Corporation's treats all customers last and the so called mission statement is but a piece of PR fiction and propaganda!

You takes your money and pays for your choice, in more ways than one with any of SONY's branded products!

Oh well, who indeed would buy anything SONY, after all this bad publicity?

As Nelson would say Ha! Ha!

What's the big deal?

I don't see any need for a retraction on the Consumer Reports blog's part. They quote Valles as saying, "The upcoming Sony recall could very well expand beyond notebook computers and could include DVD players and portable gaming devices..."

Not the year for laptops

It's not a good year for laptops. Check out this "Laptop Table" that flips laptops onto the floor (a warning, not an ad):
