  • On GameSpot: So-called 'Halo killer' gets 23 to life

Comments on: Meanwhile, at the E3 shadow conference...

Not everyone's happy about the event's new highbrow format. Indie publisher Gamecock, for example, has every intention of raising a ruckus.

They asked for it...

They wanted a smaller gathering with just people in the industry, no outsiders, no public and that's what they got. They also took out the boothbabe, which is the greatest marketing device created by humankind!

All the small companies should make their own e3 in Las Vegas and they should invite all their fans! It would be a blast!

Watching the E3 coverage on G4, I did notice a trend of many sequel games getting lots of fanfare. Not that it was all sequels, but there certainly was no shortage of them. And I did ponder the future of original games.

Kudos, Gamecock. I applaud your effort in keeping original games alive.
