I can wait
by Roman12 November 6, 2005 8:35 AM PST
I really want a 360, but I hear the software and hardware is really rushed, so I expect to see many glitches, bugs, and maybe hardware problems. And the price is the highest when it first comes out. So I'll wait a few months or so. But overall the gaming looks great.

Mario is the biggest name in the game industry.

Madden is crap anyways, new graphics are going to help its 6 year old gameplay.

Mario? WTF
by November 7, 2005 6:37 PM PST
Are you kidding? Mario hasn't been worth a dime since Super Mario Bros. 3 for the NES! Nintendo sells far more Gameboy's then it does Consoles and with the stupid revolution coming out I'm sure they're going to shut down their console business because no one wants to play games with a TV remote control.
Blocking on punt coverage.

The one complaint that eveyone I know that has the current version of the game is the terrible coverage on punt returns. Your players will run down to the return man and look at their feet, instead of busting the gunners that are about to slam you.

PLEASE FIX IT SOON!

The fact that they're re-posting this article from their sister-site, Gamespot, just proves that EA is forking out some big marketing money. Because that's all this article is... A page long pop-up ad.

What news article here isn't an ad?

Umm me thinks everything is a pop-up ad with out the pop up here. But that's what so called news is right?
half-baked

sounds pretty lame to me. Definitely not revolutionary. Granted,
revolutionary isn't necessary, but it would be nice, wouldn't it?
Especially since it's possible with a new console. Come on.
Personally, I think Madden would be much better if it were
completely reworked from the ground up... kind of like MS
Windows... but that's another story.

Reworking Football Games
by fractalroot November 12, 2005 5:06 PM PST
I worked on first party sports games for MS for 8 years. For the
most part an effort to keep EA publishing for Xbox. They had too
much controller with content and MS couldn't have that. Now
that they publish exclusive for Xbox and with the NFL license
locked up...can anyone say monopoly?

No one's ******** though. Gamers are all huff and no go when it
comes to EA, and Madden players just a bunch of religious
zealots with dogmatic loyalty to a brand that rips them for $50
every year for the same game.

How much detail do you need in a football game. At 60 fps you
can't detect 3000 polys from 1000 polys. There is no
fundamental change in the game play or anything innovative.
Tired and stale - gamers should demand more by not buying
Madden and teaching EA and MS a lesson. imho
