Its much better than xbox because xbox is jus a computer with graphics but PS3 is a gaming system that has it all graphics and good games like GTA games and Socom cant front on those. But xbox hardly having any games and most of them arnt even good so anyone dont know da deal chec ur facts first before makin a judgement.

Microsoft vs. Sony

Let me start things off with if you look at the sales figures Microsoft's Xbox did outsell the Playstation 2 THIS YEAR(From the begining of the year to the end with counter starting at zero). The main reason PS2 outsold the Xbox overall was because it had a YEAR's headstart. Next would be that the PS3 tech will hardly be utilized because of its complexity. Sure they say it'll be easy to use, but since when does Sony actually make video games? We'll leave that up to the game developers. The reason PS3 games looked so well is because they were all prerendered MOVIES. Xbox games had less awe-factor from their demos because they were using their actual games to do the demos. I think Bill Gates said something like, "our publishers are making games for the release date not E3" like Sony did. If you'd like an example compare the E3 2000 demo of Halo. That thing looked horrible compared to what we played in 2001, and then compare Halo to Halo 2 released 3 years later. The changes are hugely noticeable. It's the same hardware, just different software. Which I think will prove to be the deciding factor of who wins in the technological stage. And Microsoft has already proven its software merit through the emulation process it uploaded the 360 with for the backwards compatability.

Next would be the controllers. X360 has four and PS3 has 7. People are awed by that very statement and conclude that the 360 sucks. I want you to consider this: You all know how it is to split-screen with 4 players. It sucks, unless you have a gigantic television, in which you don't care because you'll be getting both systems. Now that you have four in your mind, try putting in 7. That is probably the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Split-screening with 7 people...unless they make some kind of device that lets you put the extra controllers on another TV. Which just takes away from the statement of their being no multi-tap.

and lastly...will there is nothing else...internet connectivity for PS2? Xbox Live will beat the living s*** out of it. That tiny little movie player they're calling the PSP? I haven't seen any good games and that's a big thing just for music(go with iPod). The only thing I've honestly been happy for about the PSP is t plays movies and it is smallER than the rest of the things out there...'m not sure bout iPod vid though..boomerang? imagine your hand on the triggers playing with your wrists at that angle? You'll cramp up after an hour of playing SOCOM. And if you're excited about all the other promises the Sony Company has made just take a look at the PS2 launch headlines...they've made the same promises before...

You want to sit there and talk about software upgrades? I have something for you to remember... its called Blu-Ray moron. PS3 games will be able to hold more than 5X the information that any 360 game. Ergo, more software information and better results will come after software development occurs. Also, Sony never claimed or wanted to split a screen 7 ways, they plan on using 7 players for games like hockey or madden. im surprised you can even type.

Sony does whatever it wants whenever it wants, you know why? because it is THAT..DAMN..GOOD. even the PS1 is goin like it came out yesterday. Whens the last time you saw a saturn for sale?? The PS2 blew the hell outa gamecube and xbox and pretended they dint even exist. dont get me wrong, im not a xbox or gamecube hater, i love both systems but a fact is always a fact, sony is way out of their league now and tommorow. The xbox 360 is an awesome machine but honestly, its release is just the calm before the storm because once that category 5 PS3 hits you, everything else is just a ripple.

Did you just post to fire people up? Here is a "load of garbage" for you. Game sales in 2005 are 3x movie and music sales COMBINED. THIS IS A 50 BILLION DOLLAR A YEAR INDUSTRY AND EXPONENTIALLY INCREASING AS I POST THIS.

Dude, you are on your period or something because if you knew anything about game evolution then you wouldn't be talkin smack. The frame-rate on the 360 is very bad but the gaming experiance i have yet to forget from playing it at a display at best buy. Some stuff on the system is still kinky but hey my computer crashes and windows is made by microsoft so... You get what you are over charged for man. And another thing the PS3 is goin to go over big in every part of the world. Google some creations by Steel Monkey's INC. and tell me it doesn't look real. The whole point of gameing is to get the player as close to real life as possible. And plus it is a real good stress vent. You just need to chill till it comes out and then post your comments.

The New Playstation

In my opinion the PS3 will be the best console when it comes out. Playstation has always been ahead of it's time. As far as X BOX 360 goes I think it was a waste of time. Microsoft should stick to computers where it belongs. There is no way Microsoft can compete with any Video Game console that Sony has and will come out with. For those of you offended just wait until Sony drops the PS3. You'll see that it is the best console, until then go ahead and get mad while you waste $300+on X BOX 36O.

this is going to be the greatest video game console ever made and it's going to blow the 360 out of the water. also, ps3 manufactuers and other manufacturers yous guys should make some games like ncaa, nba, and mlb games that have the best graphics we have ever seen and i'm sure i'm not speekin for my self on this one but, i would buy it if it cost $100. also, yous should send demos to ps3 owners (for Free) so we could get to see new releases for ourselves then, sales will go up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't see how so many people are thinking that the xbox 360 is going to be so much better than the ps3. I think original xbox loyalty is the main reason. The reason that the original xbox was so much better and more powerful than ps2 is because of the later release date. The later something is released, the more development time it has had. The more development time something's had, the faster is will be. Therefore the ps3 will definatly be a stronger better system since it is going to be released later probably this spring. The only thing it might come down to is the games, and in that case we don't know.
