Not so sure...

I will let you know after Wednesday (day I will be at E3) and tell you how it feels. It looks to me like the D-Pad and "shape" buttons are in a more natural arangement. Meaning they are angled a little bit. That is one of the PSPs major drawbacks. My hands are big, so I have to angle my thumbs in a weird way that cuts down on the amount of time I can play it. The PS3 controller looks to aleveate that.

Controller is actually awesome

The new PS3 controller actually looks like a blatant ripoff of the Alps Interactive controller for the original Playstation, but if it's anything like the Alps one, it'll be awesome. I loved that controller - he's a pic: http://www.vidgames.com/ps/hardware/alpspad.jpg

9 "Cells" to 3 CPUs. Removable HDDs, and MM card access. 7 players. Blu Ray. Backward compatible I'd presume all the way to PS1. PsP interface for extra screen space. Equal or better MM hub functions matching XB360.

In the end, its about the games. There have been better systems on paper that have lost the market to lesser systems with better game support.

However, the PS3 looks good enough to want to wait to buy over X-Box.

If MS can slam dunk the games, they can and likely will stay in the game, but I don't think they'll beat Sony in this round. Which makes me think the XB 360 isn't worth buying just because they'll have to replace it right after PS3 comes out.

the ps3 wont come as standard with a harddrive, which means that loading times are alot longer. the 360 has 3 cpus that are 9.6ghz in total sony have only said there are 3 of them and havent specified power. even if the ps3 was more powerful power is nothing without control, and ms will have power and control they are the software giants. ms have also baught the rights to final fantasy. all sony have is gta and that SUCS

i cant beleive that sony atill havent clicked on. the left analog stick should be where the dpad is, it gives greater control and comfort, without stretching your thumb
