Those poor people in China have nothing better to do, so they decide to protest toward Japan every single day and trying to shut down POL. Obviously they don't have a life :)

I didn't think of that but the timing does support it.
China?

Chances are it's the US players -- not that DoS of any kind is justified, but the US players have a lot to complain about.

I'm sure the attack was initiated after something like the following:

*Grubo* hi u want goldz
-> *Grubo* no lolzlozl
*Grubo* **** goldzzz u want r u chanese
-> *Grubo* **** fgt i take u down

This is pretty much the epitome of online behaviour today. It doesn't matter where (web boards, IRC, Usenet, online games, etc.), packets will fly regardless.

This is the "Internet" as you know it, people. Quite sad, really...
