Poor IS Department!
by mike.gw November 14, 2007 8:12 AM PST
Even though they had replacements coming in (probably at pre-negotiated discounted corporate prices), I bet some IS guy had to run down to the local T-Mobile store and buy a consumer version Curve (at full retail), and then rush to get it setup with the Blackberry server, and then out to FedEx for rush overnight delivery. All because you're a partner. I hope you remember the IS Staff and their rush to replace your Blackberry when it's time to dole out end of year bonuses!

well run IS Dept

A well run IS Dept will always have a spare crackberry on hand. Eric should have been given a choice: want an old beat up spare or want to wait for the cool new device?

iPhone reviving habit
by J.G. November 14, 2007 2:54 PM PST
At my first law firm only myself and another young associates
had laptops. The founding partners still took notes and made
drafts of documents on legal pads.

I was attached to my Handspring Visor and a couple later
Palms. But I became fed up by the Tungsten III. It has Wi-Fi,
but only WAP browsing and was useless for the blogging I was
doing then because it could not handle forms.

I have rediscovered my sense of child-like wonder and I am
becoming addicted to my iPhone.

Sent from my iPhone.
Curious Call-Out
by Mister Thorne November 15, 2007 1:29 PM PST
Funny how the editor picked a sentence with an
obvious error for a call-out:

You knew something was extremely urgent when a
legal assistant was seen running run down the hall
yelling, "You have a fax!"
