There isn't really another solid, mainstream comparison, so I think the explanation works fine. The article goes on to explain exactly what the product does, so there's no risk of anyone getting the wrong idea. I think the point was really to emphasize that the device streams the content from elsewhere, you don't store your movies and music on it.

The fact remains, this is simply Apple's version of a product that's been around for several years.

Not a new idea

Their itv isn't a new idea, but since it comes from Apple, expect it to be white in color and as simple as possible. That's what people really want. They want a better user experience than the media extender or media pcs can offer.
