Apple's new software lets Windows run on the Mac. But CNET News.com's Charles Cooper says a different OS is really the focus. Guess which one.

Well, I'm going to give it a try. I am, frankly, weary of walking through the mud everytime I turn the machine on. All that security crap makes computing a nightmare now. Can't start working without damned update crap coming on. I am cuss-fired tired of this crap. XP is stands for eXcrement Pile as far as I'm concerned. I'm expecting a shiny new iMac to be delivered today. Along with Claris Works-oops-Apple Works. Yes, I'm fed up with MS Office, too. Too cuss-fired much crap to go through jus to do some writing or crunching.
If the iMac isn't any better, then I'm taking up Chinese Checkers.

boot camp for mission critical apps

I think a boot camp capability is essential. I am a severe diabetic, an Aids patient, with many secondary medical problems. The software that supports my insulin pump, my MedicAlert, and other applications are only available on Windows. I have limited income and person space.
